Michigan Skiing Legacy documentary film to screen Saturday, February 28, will benefit Challenge Mountain. The Upper Peninsula of Michigan is the birthplace of organized skiing in America. From ski jumping to Nordic and backcountry skiing, the film explores the skiing culture that continues to shape the lives of those who consider themselves “yoopers” and honors the legends who shaped the sport. Showcasing the passionate locals who keep its spirit alive, this heartfelt tribute highlights a vibrant community united by a love of skiing and breathtaking landscapes. Buy tickets ONLINE – the $20 minimum donation directly benefits Challenge Mountain adaptive recreational programs. Showing at Great Lakes Center for the Arts in Bay Harbor – doors open 5:30pm, film 7pm.
