Continuing the tradition of sharing the heat!  As fourth generation mustard lovers, Mabs’ is proud to share their grandmother’s most coveted gift. Created with only premium, fine ground mustard flour and pure cane sugar to ensure the best and most consistent taste possible. Learn recipes to combine its explosive flavor on sandwiches, crunchy snacks, or in your favorite sauces.  Petoskey District Library and Crooked Tree Arts Center’s “First Fridays for Foodies” culinary demonstration takes place Friday, March 3 from 11:00 a.m. to noon in Crooked Tree Art Center’s renovated commercial kitchen.  Coinciding with CTAC’s weekly artisans and farmer’s market from 10:00 am to 1:00 p.m., this culinary demo will be put on by Andrea Simard of Mabs’ Atomic Mustard. Free and open to the public.

    On display in CTAC-Petoskey’s Gilbert Gallery, “Tinker, Tailor, Welder, Weaver: The Art of Assemblage” includes two and three dimensional works of assemblage and collage created by eight Michigan artists, including: Dewey Blocksma, Indy Bacon, Stephen Palmer, Mary Beth Acosta, Beth Bynum Donna Collins, Cherie Correll, and Brian Schorn. Although all of the artists employ found objects and materials, their aesthetic strategies and forms range from formal to whimsical, figurative to non-objective.
